We were not expecting too much. We came over (this year) here with the goal of getting experience for our younger players; we have injuries; we have players going to IPL teams. We could not get overseas players. Wish we got a pretty strong team; we are expecting to upset the competition; we want to upset a few teams,” he said ahead of Perth Scorchers’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow.Hogg said that the match with a reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders would be a great experience for the young players in the team.”We are coming up against, probably, an international team; there are known international players with vastness and experience that is a good learning experience,” he said.The Scorchers are looking to produce international cricketers with the experience of playing in the Champions League, he said.Replying to a query, he said the pitch looked good and might turn later on as the match progressed.last_img
