Clarion launches new hub for ICE visitors

first_img Related Articles Covid concerns see Clarion Gaming move ICE 2021 to April    July 15, 2020 StumbleUpon Better Collective appoints Shona ODonnell as global events lead July 2, 2019 Submit Major gaming show organiser Clarion Gaming has made what it is calling an important enhancement to the customer experience for both ICE visitors and exhibitors following a comprehensive review and subsequent creation of a new show hub.  The new site has been developed to reflect the pivotal role ICE plays in the gaming industry calendar and provides exhibitors with the facility to showcase their brands more effectively and develop a dialogue with visitors a full six months ahead of ICE opening its doors to the international community of gaming professionals who travel to London each year.Kate Chambers, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming said: “Our post-ICE research flagged some dissatisfaction with the ICE website, so I instructed the team to take a clean sheet of paper and start again.  Alongside the latest enhancements in terms of ease of navigation, news and content related to each sector and a zone which enables visitors to favourite products and content, we have invested in the development of a Meeting Planner tool, which was at the top of the wish list for our exhibitors and will be available later in the year.”There could well be more time to make meetings for attendees too as the official opening hours on the Wednesday of the show have been extended by two hours and will now close at 8pm.She added: “It’s very important that we deliver on behalf of  our customers and that we live up to our stated commitment of continuous improvement across every aspect of the ICE experience.”The 2017 edition of ICE was officially the best on record, with an independently audited attendance of 30,213 making the journey to ExCeL from 151 jurisdictions.  The attendance represented a 6% year-on-year increase and the sixth consecutive year of growth.  The success of ICE was recognised by the Association of Exhibition Organisers which shortlisted the world’s biggest gaming expo in the ‘Best UK Tradeshow Over 2,000sqm’ category and named Clarion Events as the industry’s ‘Most Respected Company of the Year’. Stanislav Silin, Altenar: Defying regulatory challenges to hit 2019 high notes

first_img UKGC launches fourth National Lottery licence competition August 28, 2020 Global Gaming adds sportsbook extension to Ninja property August 25, 2020 Stanislav Silin, CEO at Altenar, reflects on a successful year for the sportsbook software provider, which saw it obtain key licences with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), and defy challenging conditions in both Italy and Sweden to launch four regulated customers across the two markets.SBC: What are the key highlights for Altenar from 2019?SS: Without revealing the numbers, I can say that we’ve done quite well, and reached what we had planned and even hoped for in 2019. This year has seen us obtain both an MGA B2B licence in Malta, and a UKGC provider licence. We’ve also obtained several software approvals, amongst which there is Italy and Sweden, where we have successfully launched four regulated customers despite both territories being quite challenging markets for sports betting. Additionally, we’ve just launched our sportsbook product in a retail environment, where we partnered with a lottery and betting operator in Jamaica. Our team has worked very hard, and everyone feels pleased with the results.SBC: You mention these four new regulated customers; how important is finding the right internal balance between chasing new clients and developing new products for existing clients? SS: There is certainly a balance to strike. We are still actively seeking new customers, but we also have a number of interesting internal projects that are focused on helping our existing customers grow. This strategy has, in the past, worked brilliantly with Wplay.co, and we hope to invest in some more effort in that direction. After all, it’s a lot more rewarding to help existing customers grow, rather than pursue contractual minimums and cycle new leads.SBC: As a technology partner, what is the reputation you crave amongst your clients?SS: We want to be known as a trusted provider of choice for sports betting operators, that not only delivers a flexible, stable and compliant software, but does not compete in the B2C space with operators it offers services to. We will, therefore, never pose the threat of competition with our own clients. We present ourselves as a company that is increasingly gaining a reputation as a reliable technology partner that our customers can trust through stability of our service, flexibility in our approach, and through software that holds a variety of B2B licences and regulatory approvals. ITV Racing nets late Thurles Ireland broadcast

first_img Irish bookmakers demand clarity on reopening orders June 17, 2020 Paddy Power to reopen English & Irish betting shops in Royal Ascot week June 10, 2020 StumbleUpon Related Articles ITV secures three-year British racing broadcast deal August 5, 2020 Share Submit Updating stakeholders, ITV Racing has confirmed that it has secured a last minute deal which will see it broadcast this Saturday’s Irish horse-racing event in Thurles. The announcement follows on from news that Horseracing Ireland (HRI) would continue its race fixtures behind closed doors for the foreseeable future amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The company will broadcast five races on ITV4 with the show being presented by Ed Chamberlin alongside a small team in order to comply with government regulations.Regarding the decision to continue the races, an HRI spokesperson stated: “The decision is motivated by the need to maintain employment and incomes for people working in the industry, and on the basis of being able to achieve and maintain all HSE (Health Service Executive) advice and instructions.”The news will also be a welcome boost to bookmakers and punters as the betting industry has struggled to adapt to the lack of live-sport offerings.Simon Clare, Ladbrokes Coral PR director, explained: “This is really good news from ITV Racing for all racing fans, bookmakers, and anyone who enjoys a flutter on a Saturday afternoon, as in the absence of any other major sports and football, or UK racing, this live broadcast of Thurles will be like an oasis in the desert.“These are unprecedented, worrying times, and the impact and seriousness goes way beyond the world of racing and betting, but the importance of keeping at least some of the show on the road through these dark times cannot be underestimated, to provide entertainment to many people and keep business ticking over.”It has yet to be announced whether after this weekend’s events HRI will follow in the footsteps of the British Horseracing Authority’s (BHA), one of ITV Racing’s primary customers, when the authority suspended all events due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
