first_imgSeveral Indian athletes from across different sporting disciplines have hailed the Indian Air Force (IAF) for Tuesday’s airstrikes that targetted Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists and trainers in Pakistan.Former India captain Gautam Gambhir, who has been vocal about several issues of national importance, took to social media and praised the way in which India responded to the dastardly terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir that claimed the lives of 40 Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the terror attack.India carried out an intelligence-led, non-military, pre-emptive action targetting the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement. A large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis were killed in the attack, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said.
