Greensburg Pirates traveled to Southwestern High School to take on the Spartans Tuesday night. The Pirates fell 4-1 to the Spartans in a very active first half. The Spartans wasted no time getting on the score board by scoring less than a minute into first half action. Two more goals before the 20 minute mark found the Pirates in a 3-0 hole before Francis Teague found the back of the net off an assist from Aaron Sia. The goal was Teague’s second of the year. The Spartans would answer back late in the first half to push the score to 4-1 in favor of Southwestern. 4-1 would be the final score after a defensive second half limited shots on goal for both teams. The Pirates are back in action on Tuesday, September 8 when they head to Jac-Cen-Del.Courtesy of Pirates Coach Cody DeVolld.
